Boy Scout provides animal resuscitation kits for Eagle project

Pilot, a search and rescue dog, sniffs an animal resuscitation kit presented to Unified Fire Authority Company 104 in Holladay Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012. Cpt. Fitzgerald Petersen holds this kit. Curtis Hasna provided the kits as his Eagle Scout project. They are for use in all UFA stations in the event an animal needs resuscitation during a rescue.

HOLLADAY — An area Boy Scout organized efforts to collect donations and then purchase K-9 resuscitation masks for his Eagle Scout project.

Curtis Hasna on Tuesday presented Unified Fire Authority firefighters Tuesday with the life-saving equipment that will be used by firefighters to render emergency care to animals that are rescued from structure fires.
