“The Penguins of Madagascar” (March 27, 2015) — “Bee Movie” director Simon J. Smith will helm this spinoff of the lucrative “Madagscar” franchise.

“Trolls” (working title) (June 5, 2015) — Anand Tucker (“Leap Year”) will direct a story that looks at the mythology behind the Troll dolls. It is not clear whether or not this has any relation to a Guillermo del Toro movie titled “Trollhunters” that was originally announced as being in development at DreamWorks in 2010.

“B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations” (November 6, 2015) — Very little has been revealed about “B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations” other than its star, DreamWorks regular Seth Rogen, and director, Tony Leondis (“Igor”).

Mumbai Musical” (working title) (December 19, 2015) — Easily the most intriguing of DreamWorks’ upcoming animated films, “Mumbai Musical” is a Bollywood-style musical inspired by the Indian epic "The Ramayana," but told from the point of view of the monkeys. With lyrics by Steven Schwartz (“Wicked”) and music by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (“Slumdog Millionaire”), this is definitely one to watch out for.

“Kung Fu Panda 3” (March 18, 2016) — Although not yet confirmed, Jack Black is all but guaranteed to return to the role of Po, the famed Dragon Warrior, in his ongoing quest for enlightenment and delicious food. Jennifer Yuh (“Kung Fu Panda 2”) will direct.
