Utah Jazz notebook: Mo Williams, Randy Foye back in familiar territory, Staples Center in L.A.

JAZZ NOTES: After the L.A. road trip, the Jazz will play the Clippers Saturday at home and then have two games against Portland next week — Monday at the Rose Garden and Thursday in Salt Lake City. ... After blocking a shot by Gordon Hayward into the stands, Metta World Peace walked back to retrieve the ball and kissed the hand of a female fan in the stands, drawing a response from the crowd. ... Jeremy Evans had the block of the night when he rejected Robert Sacre’s dunk attempt in the second quarter. Unfortunately, it didn’t count as a block because he fouled Sacre in the head on his follow-through of the dunk. ... Sacre fouled out early in the fourth quarter and finished with nine points and 10 rebounds ... Evans later drew some "oohs" from the crowd with a fourth-quarter dunk. ... The Lakers will play just once in Salt Lake City this year, in the second week of the season, Nov. 7, at EnergySolutions Arena. The two teams will play twice more, in Los Angeles Dec. 9 and Jan. 25. ... Last year, the Jazz and Lakers split four regular-season games with each team winning one game at home and one away. ... Paul Millsap missed his second straight game after leaving for his grandmother’s funeral. No word yet on when he will rejoin the team.
