UVU golf: UVU's Lynn-Marie Nagel named GWC Golfer of the Week
NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Utah Valley's Lynn-Marie Nagel has been named Great West Conference Women's Golfer of the Week in the inaugural award of the 2012-13 season.
Nagel, the 2012 GWC individual champion, finished fourth at the Montana State Bobcat Invitational, firing a 75-76-73 for a three-round total of 224. The sophomore from Limpopo, South Africa, led the Wolverines to a second-place finish at the tournament, losing to Montana in a sudden-death playoff and defeating teams from Southern Utah, North Dakota and the host Bobcats.
Others nominated for the award were Chicago State's McKenzie Parks, Houston Baptist's Katie Paxton and Texas-Pan American's Elena Arroyo.
