UVU volleyball: women's volleyball tunes up with Green & White match Tuesday
OREM, Utah - The defending Great West Conference champion, Utah Valley University women's volleyball team, will take to the court for the first time in 2012 with a Green & White intrasquad exhibition match Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the PE Building (formerly known as the Activity Center).
Admission will be free of charge to Tuesday's exhibition, as well as on Aug. 31, when the volleyball team will host its annual Alumni Match. That contest will also begin at 6:00 p.m.
Coach Sam Atoa's 2012 Wolverines will welcome back 10 letterwinners from a team that won a school-record 23 matches last year, as well as mix in five newcomers.
UVU will officially begin its season this weekend, Aug. 24-25, when it travels to Tucson, Ariz., to take on Cal State Northridge, Evansville and host Arizona at the Wildcat Classic.
