Missing Brigham City woman's car found near unidentified body

MANTUA, Box Elder County — The car of a missing Brigham City woman was found at Docs Flat Campground, near the body of an unidentified woman.

Jennifer Atkinson, 31, was reported missing July 17 and was last seen driving the navy blue Toyota Scion that was located earlier this evening at the campground.

The body of a woman was located 200 to 300 yards away in a ravine, according to the Box Elder Sheriff’s Office. A search and rescue team is assisting in the recovery of the body.

The death is being treated as suspicious. The identity of the woman has not been confirmed, and police have not confirmed a connection between Atkinson and the body.
