WEST VALLEY CITY — Residents east of Redwood Road in West Valley City should have received their sanitation and storm water utility bill directly from the city.

Previously, these charges have been included on the monthly Rocky Mountain Power bill. Residents should look at their bill statement for city contact and billing specific information, and always be certain to include the bill coupon, on the bottom portion of the bill, with payment.

West Valley City will begin billing the remaining residents this fall or early winter. Until then, residents will continue to be billed with their Rocky Mountain Power bill each month.

Amounts billed by the city will be the same as have been charged by Rocky Mountain Power. Sanitation service is $13.30 per month, which includes one garbage can and one recycle can. There is a charge of $6.45 per month for each additional can. The storm water utility charges $4 per month for a typical residential property. The total basic charge for property owners is $17.30 per month, plus additional charges for any extra cans.

Residents will have the option to pay bills online or by mail. Residents will be notified prior to receiving their first sanitation and storm water utility bill via mail.
