WENDOVER — A West Jordan woman was killed in a traffic accident Tuesday night when her car rolled four to six times after police say she over-corrected.
Stephanie Dawn Burrap, 21, was driving west on I-80 about 7:20 p.m. when witnesses say she gradually drifted to the right, apparently because of drowsy driving, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cade Brenchley.
Burrap over-corrected, skidded and went into the median where the vehicle appears to have rolled four to six times. She was wearing a seat belt but was partially ejected.
Burrap was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived. She went into cardiac arrest and died as she was being transported to the hospital, Brenchley said.
