The United States women's water polo team will have a medal.
It's just a matter of gold or silver.
It defeated Australia 11-9 in overtime Tuesday and will face Spain in the match for the gold medal on Thursday.
Tumua Anae, the United States team's backup goalkeeper, is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Synchronized swimming
Mormon Mary Killman and Mariya Koroleva placed 11th in the synchronized swimming duet finals on Tuesday.
The pair, who represented the United States, performed to a medley of songs around the Olympic theme.
Competing Wednesday
The U.S. men's volleyball team will play Italy on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.
The team includes LDS returned missionaries Russell Holmes, a middle blocker, and libero Rich Lambourne.
