Quail Fire

Where: Alpine, near Lambert Park

Size: 2,220 acres

Containment: 90 percent

Structures: 1 barn burned and 2 homes with minor damage 

Evacuations: All homeowners were allowed to return Thursday. American Fork Canyon and Alpine Loop Road are open. Box Elder Peak and several trail remain closed.

Started: 2 p.m. July 3 

Cause: Human caused, under investigation

Uinta Fire

Where: 18 miles northwest of Neola, Duchesne County

Size: 11 acres

Containment: 0 percent

Structures: None threatened 

Evacuations: The Uinta Canyon Trailhead and Uinta Canyon Trail have been closed to ensure access for firefighters.

Started: 9:00 a.m. July 4 

Cause: Under investigation

Church Camp Fire

 

Where: Argyle and Indian canyons, 22 miles south of Duchesne in Duchesne County

Size: 7,211 acres

Containment: 100 percent

Structures:  An estimated 15 cabins or other residences and 78 additional structures have been destroyed.

Evacuations: Evacuation for the Church Camp Fire will be lifted in phases. Owners that have suffered damage will be ablt to return to the area on Saturday July 7 at 8 a.m. Those owners that wish to examine their property will need to go to the road block at the top of Indian Canyon and check in. Sunday July 8 at 8 a.m. all other propert owners will be allowed to return.  Access to the closed area will be limited to owners for only a few days. Homeowners will need proof of residency to return to the area.

Cause: Under investigation, likely human caused

Clay Springs Fire

 

Where: Oak City, Millard County

Size: 108,132 acres

Containment: 81 percent

Structures: 1 cabin and 2 maintenance sheds in Oak City destroyed; none currently threatened.

Evacuations: None

Started: 2:15 p.m. on June 27 

Injuries: No recent injuries

Cause: Human caused, under investigation
