MAGNA — The Cyprus High School senior student government officers want to renovate the “C” on the mountain near the school. The students are looking for donations in hopes of unveiling the new “C” next year during homecoming.
The “C” is on Rio Tinto property, but the school has been given permission to conduct the project through the work of senior class president McClain Chipman.
The company awarded the school a $15,000 matching grant. The group estimated the total cost for the program to be $60,000. The “C” was placed on the mountainside in 1927 and has remained.
