SALT LAKE CITY — Utah high school seniors won $60,000 in scholarships from the Comcast Foundation in a ceremony on Wednesday. Comcast honored 35 recipients at the Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Awards Luncheon.
Each year the Comcast Foundation awards high school seniors $1,000 scholarships for college. This year at the event, four of the students were surprised with $5,000 Presidents scholarships, one student won $10,000 Founders scholarship and winning students had their names drawn for 10 netbook computers.
