High school track: State record broken in 27-team Taylorsville Invite

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – Twenty seven high schools plus several unaffiliated athletes participated in the 12th Annual Taylorsville Invitational track tournament. Riverton High School had the highest overall combined boy’s and girl’s totals to top the event, but several outstanding performances were turned in including a new state record in the girl’s javelin in the 3A classification. Megan Glasmann of Park City high school threw 143’ 6” to top the previous state record by over 15 feet. Team and top 3 individual results included below:
