Utah State football: Aggie football through 3 weeks of spring drills
Utah State football completed its third week of spring drills Friday afternoon at Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium, finishing the last part of practice in the rain. Friday’s practice also marked the Aggies being past the midway point of spring drills.
“We continue to have lots of competition at every position. We still have a lot of uncertainty at spots, and next Friday’s scrimmage will tell us a lot,” USU head coach Gary Andersen said.
The Aggies have slightly changed their practice next week as they are tentatively scheduled to be in action Monday afternoon from 2:30-4:30 p.m., instead of Tuesday morning. USU will practice Thursday morning from 6:15-8 a.m. and then conduct its second scrimmage of the spring on Friday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium. All practices dates and times are subject to change.
Practices are currently scheduled to be open to the public but are subject to change. When the Aggies are on Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium, fans must remain in the stands at all times. When they are in the Laub Indoor Facility, fans must remain in the opening by the doorway.
The Blue-White Spring Game presented by Orbit Irrigation Products will be on Saturday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Merlin Olsen Field at Romney Stadium. Admission will again be free to the public and further details, along with events surrounding the Spring Game, will be released at a later date.
