SALT LAKE CITY — Dr. Aaron Kowalski, the National Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation assistant vice president of treatment and therapies, will share the most recent research on a cure for type 1 diabetes at the annual JDFR research update on Thursday, at a Little America Hotel dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This event offers an exclusive opportunity to hear about the progress of diabetes research and treatments from experts in science and research. The dinner will cover areas of prominent interest, such as the artificial pancreas and pending treatments for diabetes and its complications, according to a news release from the JDRF Utah chapter.
In Utah, 128,000 people have diabetes and 660,000 are with pre-diabetic, according to the news release.
