Utah State men's golf: USU's Andrew Paulson tied for 15th at Washington State-hosted Snowman Getaway
GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Utah State’s Andrew Paulson is currently tied for 15th place with a 4-over par 148 after the first two rounds of the Washington State-hosted Snowman Getaway held here at the Palm Valley Golf Club Monday.
Utah State currently sits in 10th place in the 16-team field with a 30-over 606 (301-305) after its 17-over 305 during the second round was tied for the fourth-best team score in the field.
Missouri-Kansas City has a three-shot lead after the first two rounds with a 16-over 592 (288-304), while UCLA’s Mario Clemens and Jay Hwang sit atop the leaderboard tied at 5-under 139 as Clemens had rounds of 66 and 73, while Hwang carded rounds of 68 and 71. Clemens and Hwang are both competing as individuals in the tournament.
Paulson, a freshman from Sandy, began the tournament with a 2-over 74 during his first 18 holes and carded another 74 during his afternoon round to sit at 4-over 148 and tied for 15th.
Freshman Tanner Jenson (Parker, Colo.) is tied for 27th after shooting a 7-over 151 (79-72), while freshman Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) is tied for 48th with a 10-over 154 (71-83).
Freshman Brennan Coburn (Layton) is tied for 70th with a 14-over 158 (77-81), and senior Chanse Godderidge (Smithfield) is tied for 75th with a 15-over 159 (81-78).
Teams will tee off on Tuesday in the final round of the Snowman Getaway beginning at 8 a.m.
