SUNSET A tip helped Davis County sheriff's detectives solve several burglaries and car thefts Tuesday afternoon.
The tip led sheriff's deputies and officers from the Sunset Police Department to the Crystal Cottage Inn in Sunset where they found a stolen vehicle. After setting up surveillance, officers eventually arrested a man, 43, who came out of the motel to get into the vehicle, according to a police statement.
Detectives then went in the motel room and arrested an 18-year-old man. They allegedly found several thousand dollars worth of stolen property. Police say the discovery helped investigators clear four burglaries in Ogden, Riverdale and Roy, and two car thefts from Ogden.
