The friends of Joshua Tai Taeaolii are holding a special fund-raiser Saturday night at the Fat Squirrel Private Club to help the local filmmaker complete needed post-production work on "Twice Today."

"Twice Today" is a psychological drama about a paraplegic (Don Shanks, from "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers"), who, contemplating suicide, reflects on the lives of people he's known and met.

It is Taeaolii's first work filmed on celluloid (his earliest works were shot on video) and was recently accepted into the AngelCiti Film Festival in Los Angeles. He is hoping to use funds for needed post-production work before the film premieres there.

In addition to a special screening of the film, the night's entertainment will also include live music, raffles, tai chi lessons, karaoke and Polynesian dancing.

The Fast Squirrel is at 241 S. 500 East. The evening's festivities get under way at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. For more information, call 971-1561.
