REGION 18

INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN 15, MOUNT VERNON 5: Kevin Beal threw four innings of no-hit baseball to lead the Lions in region play.

REGION 20

PANGUITCH 7, BRYCE VALLEY 4: Dason Houston was dominant in the Bobcats road victory, earning the victory on the mound while also hitting two doubles and a triple. Hunter Hatch added two doubles and a home run for Panguitch. For Bryce Valley in the loss, Austin Brinkerhoff was 4-for-4 from the plate with two RBIs.

PIUTE 6, VALLEY 5: Jaden Coburn doubled to centerfield and then scored on an error to lift the T-Birds.

WAYNE 30, ESCALANTE 1: The Badgers walloped their region foe in a mercy rule-shortened victory.

Volleyball

REGION 4

RIVERTON DEF. WESTLAKE 25-22, 25-17, 25-23: The Silverwolves earned the three-set victory over Westlake on the road in region action. Thunder senior Tiana Naylor finished the night with eight kills in the loss.

LONE PEAK DEF. HERRIMAN 26-24, 25-20, 25-15: Natalee Gray hit .500 off the bench and Emily Lewis led the Knights with nine kills while libero Madi Olson passed 2.0 while serving up three aces.

REGION 20

PIUTE DEF. VALLEY 25-11, 25-14, 25-9: Shaylee Gleave led the T-Birds with 15 kills, followed by Paige Jessen with 11. Setter Hanna Bagley had 31 assists in the Piute victory.

NONREGION

SKYLINE DEF. COTTONWOOD 25-5, 25-13, 25-20: Madison Paulson had 17 digs and Allie Rasmussen had four blocks to lead the Eagles in the sweeping victory at home.

ALTA DEF. TOOELE 25-15, 25-16, 25-18: The Hawks played well in their trip to Tooele, sweeping the Buffaloes for their second win of the season. For Tooele in the loss, Daisy Brown had 20 assists, three blocks, and seven digs, Brin Stewart had 10 kills and 11 digs, and Taylor Thomas had three aces, 12 digs, and three kills.

MORGAN DEF. SKY VIEW 25-20, 25-16, 25-10: Aubrey Saunders had eight kills, one block, and two digs to lead the Trojans in the nonregion win at home.
