Pope Francis poses for a selfie with young people during a meeting with Asian youth at the Solmoe Sanctuary in Dangjin, South Korea, Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. Pope Francis urged Catholic youth on Friday to renounce the materialism that afflicts much of Asian society today and reject "inhuman" economic systems that disenfranchise the poor, pressing his economic agenda in one of the region's powerhouses where financial gain is a key barometer of success.

Pope Francis held an outdoor Mass on Saturday for huge crowds in Seoul as part of his five-day trip to South Korea. The Vatican estimated some 800,000 people turned out for the service.

The pontiff's visit coincides with the Asian Catholic youth festival, and on Sunday he will officiate at the closing Mass for the festival at a 15th Century fortress in South Korea.
