The MLS Disciplinary Committee handed out a two-game suspension to New York Red Bulls defender Jamison Olave for his "antics" toward RSL forward Olmes Garcia in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw. Garcia and Olave, a former RSL star, were mincing words in the 77th minute when one thing led to another and Olave appeared to jostle the RSL forward's groin. In real time, it appeared Garcia was putting on a show of sorts, but replays suggested otherwise.
Olave was also been fined an undisclosed amount for grabbing Garcia after the incident was reviewed by the committee and deemed violent conduct toward an opponent.
The disciplinary committee also fined Morales an undisclosed amount for violating the league's policy regarding hands to the face/head of an opponent.Comment on this story
