MOUNTAIN CREST 6, SPANISH FORK 0: Mountain Crest jumped out to a 4-0 lead on Spanish Fork, and Ben Weese made the lead hold up with a masterful pitching performance as he shut down Spanish Fork to lead the Mustangs to the 4A winners bracket victory. Luke Smith went 3 for 4 for Mountain Crest, while Jackson Godfrey went 1 for 3 with a points of RBI.

BOUNTIFUL 14, SKYLINE 4: Bountifuls bats came alive at UVU with the Braves scoring seven runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth to finish things off for the victory in the 4A winners bracket. Parker DePasquale went 3 for 3 with two RBI, while Mason Jones drove in five runs to lead the Braves. DePasquale also picked up the victory on the mound striking out four and only allowing four hits over five innings.

SALEM HILLS 8, WOODS CROSS 2: Gunnar Gustin went 2 for 4 with a double, home run and three RBI as Salem Hills jumped out to an early lead on Woods Cross and never looked back for the victory in the 4A one-loss bracket at UVU.

BOX ELDER 5, LOGAN 1: Connor Udy ripped a three-run triple in the first inning, and Box Elder never relinquished the lead on its way to a victory over rival Logan in the 4A one-loss bracket at UVU.


LAYTON 8, COPPER HILLS 6: Edgar Aguilar singled home a pair of runs in the eighth inning as Layton rallied from a 6-4 deficit after the fourth inning to advance in the 5A winners bracket. Aguilar finished the game 2 for 4 with 4 RBI, with teammate Brady Jewell also coming up big going 3 for 5 with a home run and two RBI. Caleb Harrop threw 136 pitches to earn the win, with Pete Nielsen coming in and recording the two-pitch save in the bottom of the ninth.

JORDAN 4, LONE PEAK 3: The Beetdiggers narrowly advanced.

PLEASANT GROVE 12, TAYLORSVILLE 3: Easton Walker led off the game with a solo home run, and Ben Eldredge, Jade Smoot and Brayden Cox all doubled in the first inning as well as Pleasant Grove scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back in a convincing victory over Taylorsville in the 5A one-loss bracket.

BINGHAM 11, AMERICAN FORK 2: Sean Keating hit a home run and Kade Cloward went 3 for 4 as Bingham pounded American Fork to advance in the 5A one-loss bracket at Kearns High School.

LOGAN 1, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 0: Jose Beto Rincons goal in the seventh minute proved to be the lone score of the Logan as Logan topped Maple Mountain to clinch a berth in Thursdays 4A championship game at Rio Tinto Stadium.

SKYLINE 4, BOX ELDER 2: Down 1-0 at the half, Skyline poured in four goals in the second half to pull away from Box Elder and book its place in the 4A title game. Gary Buckley, Brigham Jackson, Hunter Kone and Sheldon Martineau all scored goals for the Eagles in the second half.


RIVERTON 2, VIEWMONT 0: Nick Tanner and Richard Anderson scored goals in the second half as Riverton handed Viewmont its first loss of the season to advance to the 5A championship game at Rio Tinto Stadium. Keeper Parker Seegmiller made several saves to preserve the clean sheet for Riverton.

FREMONT 1, LAYTON 0: Parker Preators goal early in the first half proved to be the difference as Fremont blanked Layton to book its place in the 5A state championship game.



SPANISH FORK 6, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 2: McKinley Brinkerhoff slugged a homer to help Spanish Fork advance.
