GRAND 5, BEAVER 3: Kyler Nelson struck out seven and Cameron Taylor hit a big three-run homer in the fifth inning as Grand held off Beaver to advance to the 2A state championship game next Tuesday at UVU.

MILLARD 3, NORTH SEVIER 2

EMERY 10, MILLARD 0: Emery pounded out 10 runs on 12 hits for its second victory of the day to keep its 2A state title hopes alive. Ridge Nielson and Dillon Wilstead both went 3 for 4 to lead the Spartans.

WATERFORD 2, ROWLAND HALL 1: Jesse Sindelar headed in the golden goal from the far post on a corner kick with three minutes left in overtime to give the Ravens the 2A championship victory.

3A PLAYOFFS

DIXIE 3, CEDAR 1: Tyler Bennett, Ceasar Perez and Luis Rabago all scored goals as Dixie built a 2-0 halftime lead at Rio Tinto Stadium and never looked back in knocking off region foe Cedar for the 3A state championship.

MANTI 8, SAN JUAN 4: Senior pitcher Kali Thomson led the Templars to a title Saturday. It was the Templars' third victory over last year's state champions this season.

PAYSON 4, DIXIE 0: Shaylee Larsen scattered five hits over seven innings as she pitched Payson to the 3A first round victory over Dixie.
