LAYTON 13, DAVIS 9: Frankie Aguilar, Rusty Wilbert and Josafat Chavez keyed a big third inning to help Layton take control en route to its 17th consecutive Region 1 win.
WEBER 7, FREMONT 5: Ben Bodily pitched the win as Weber recorded the region victory over Fremont.
COTTONWOOD 10, HILLCREST 0: Nate Gardner was a single away from hitting for the cycle as Cottonwood ran away from Hillcrest in five innings.
HUNTER 11, WEST 5: Hunter defeated West in region play. In the loss, Tayler Malin knocked out a home run for the Panthers.
TAYLORSVILLE 11, GRANGER 1: Cole Fivecoat pitched the win for the Warriors and Nathan Hess contributed a triple in the blowout victory over Granger.
BINGHAM 9, BRIGHTON 0: Sean Keating smacked a double and pitched the win to help lift the Miners over the Bengals in region play. Kade Cloward also contributed a double and a triple for Bingham in the victory.
COPPER HILLS 11, WEST JORDAN 3: Copper Hills blanked the Jaguars in Region 3 action.
ALTA 3, JORDAN 1: In a pitchers duel, Gabe Farrer went the distance for Alta, striking out 12. Jacob Dirkson pitched a complete game for Jordan, punching out eight.
LONE PEAK 4, RIVERTON 3: Making his first varsity start of the season, Matt Lee struck out six and picked up the victory as Lone Peak scored twice in the top of the seventh inning. Hunter Christensen scored the winning run after doubling in the seventh, his second double of the game, as he went 2 for 3.
PLEASANT GROVE 16, LEHI 1: The Vikings scored early and often to pick up the Region 4 victory over Lehi.
AMERICAN FORK 11, WESTLAKE 1: Craig Brailsford got the win on the mound as American Fork bested Westlake.
BONNEVILLE 10, OGDEN 1: Will Galbraith was 4-for-4 from the plate, knocking out a home run for the Lakers in the region victory.
MOUNTAIN CREST 6, LOGAN 0: Ben Weese earned the win on the mound as the Mustangs shut out the Grizzlies in region play.
PAROWAN 8, INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN 0: Six Parowan players scored as it topped ICS in the first round of the 2A playoffs. Bryce Thatcher got the shutout in goal.
WASATCH ACADEMY 3, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 1: Emrem Tanriover scored all three goals of the Tigers to secure the victory over Layton Christian. Wasatch Academy will move on to the next round of the 2A Playoffs.
ROWLAND HALL 5, GRAND 1: Michael Thompson scored back-to-back goals midway through the opening half to propel the Winged Lions, who used the big first half to advance past Grand County in the opening round of the state tournament.
AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 8, BEAVER 0: Four players scored for ALA as it advanced to the second round of the 2A playoffs. Anson Gwilliam got the shutout in goal.
ST. JOSEPH 2, MANTI 2: Trailing at halftime, St. Joseph staged a comeback in the second half to force extra time against Manti. The two squads battled through two overtimes and the Jayhawks prevailed in a penalty kick shootout 4-1 to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2A playoffs.
DELTA 3, WENDOVER 1: Ulises Mendoza netted two goals to help send Delta to the next round of 2A playoffs.
MERIT ACADEMY 4, MILLARD 1: Hootie Hennessy helped his team advance by providing all the goals for the Knights.
WATERFORD 5, GUNNISON 0: Kaden Fratto, Sean Keough, Cale Lopez and Jesse Sindelar dished out assists in the Ravens shutout.
OLYMPUS 5, CORNER CANYON 0: Brody Nelson assisted four of the Titans five goals in the shutout win over Corner Canyon.
CYPRUS 17, HIGHLAND 2: Cyprus hot bats helped lead it to the win over Highland. Sydney Empey got the win in the circle.
JUAB 9, CARBON 0: McCall Sperry got the win in the circle for Juab as it blanked Carbon.
PAYSON 5, NORTH SANPETE 2: Shaylee Larsen struck out eight to lead Payson over North Sanpete. The Lions captured the Region 12 title with the win.
SAN JUAN 10, GRAND 3: Kellie Palmer slugged two homers as the Broncos racked up 14 hits.
GUNNISON 9, RICHFIELD 4: The Bulldogs scored nine runs off of eight hits in the victory over Richfield.
HERRIMAN 6, TOOELE 3: Riley Cox pitched the win from the mound while teammate Dayna Hokanson smacked a triple for the Mustangs. Lauren Frailey knocked out a home run for Tooele in the loss.
PINE VIEW 5, ENTERPRISE 2: Madi Green roped a double and was for 4-for-4 from the plate to lead the Panthers to the victory.
