VIEWMONT 81, LAYTON 78: McKay Butler scored 29 points to lead Viewmont to the critical overtime victory over Layton.

LOGAN 66, MOUNTAIN CREST 47: Jaxton Andersen led all scores with 17 points, and Logan outscored the Mustangs 23-11 in the fourth quarter to take the region win.

SKY VIEW 70, OGDEN 36: The Bobcats had over 13 different players score in their victory against the Tigers.

ROY 84, BONNEVILLE 58: Brekkott Chapman and Blake Lamb scored 21 points apiece as the Royals jumped out to a 16-2 lead.

REGION 18

ST. JOSEPH 59, MOUNT VERNON 32: David Donlevy posted 20 points as the Jayhawks opened the second half on a 20-9 run.

WEST RIDGE ACADEMY 60, INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN 38: Luke Evans torched the nets for 33 points to lead West Ridge past ICS.

1A PLAYOFFS

WHITEHORSE 49, TINTIC 47: Raphaela Filfred scored 19 points and Kristy Dickinson added 15 as Whitehorse edged Tintic in the opening round of the 1A state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center.

PANGUITCH 55, VALLEY 26: As expected, No. 1 Panguitch rolled past Valley in the first round of the 1A state tournament. Darri Frandsen led the way with 24 points for the Bobcats, who jumped out to a 16-3 first quarter lead and never looked back.

RICH 35, MILFORD 29: Trailing 23-16 at the half, Rich turned in a scintillating defensive effort in the second half outscoring Milford 19-6 to escape with the first round win. Cami Lamborn led Rich with 12 points, while Milfords Chandler Rose led all scorers in the loss scoring 23 of her teams 29 points.

WENDOVER 47, GREEN RIVER 39: Aurora Rodriguez and Lidia Delgadillo scored 12 points apiece to pace Wendover to the strong first round victory over Green River. Wendover led the entire way after jumping out to a 16-11 first-quarter lead, but didnt pull away until the final few minutes.

WAYNE 55, DUCHESNE 40: Wayne raced to a 33-20 halftime lead on Duchesne on its way to the 1A first round victory at the Sevier Valley Center. Sarah Taylor led the way for the Badgers with 14 points.

ST. JOSEPH 51, MONUMENT VALLEY 29: After a slow start, the two-time 1A champs turned things up a notch in the middle two quarters to pull away from the Cougars for the 1A first round win. Liz Tomon scored 17 points for the Jayhawks to lead all scorers.

BRYCE VALLEY 55, MONTICELLO 30: Taylor Talbot and Ashlee Chynoweth each scored 30 points to pace Bryce Valley to the win over Monticello in the first round of the state tournament. Zoe Chadwick led Monticello in the loss with 13 points.

PIUTE 68, MANILA 32: Piute had four players finish in double figures led by Kierra Gleaves 15 points as the T-Birds easily beat Manila to advance through the first round of the state tournament. Shalyn Bagley and Whitney Westwood each finished with 14 points for Piute.

REGION 1

LAYTON 44, VIEWMONT 41: Taylor Moore led a trio of Layton scorers in double with 13 points, and drained three 3-pointers to help Layton improve to 19-2 on the season.

SYRACUSE 54, NORTHRIDGE 48: The Titans got the on the road win against the Knights with help from Demi Hamblin, who scored 13 points in the victory.

NONREGION

GRAND 52, SAN JUAN 50: Alena Geiser led three Grand scorers in double figures with 12 points, as the home side narrowly escaped with the region win.
