Real Salt Lake has traded midfielder Yordany Alvarez to Orlando City Soccer Club, the team announced Wednesday.

In exchange, RSL will receive Orlando's lowest 2017 MLS SuperDraft fourth-round pick. Orlando City will make its MLS debut in 2015 after being named the league's 21st franchise in November, and Alvarez will be on loan to Orlando City in 2014 as the team competes in its final USL pro season.

Alvarez spent two seasons with Real Salt Lake after coming to the team on loan from Orlando City in Sept. 2011. He played in 38 league games for RSL, including 20 starts, and scored one goal.
