Men's college basketball roundup: Bruins cruise past Western Nebraska

TWIN FALLS — The No. 17 SLCC Men's Basketball team (6-1) defeated Western Nebraska Community College (4-2) 91-72 on Saturday at the Wright Physical Therapy Shootout hosted by the College of Southern Idaho.

The Bruins led from start to finish, out-rebounded the Cougars 50-36 and grabbed 20 offensive rebounds in the winning effort.

Sophomore guards Jaden Jackson (West Jordan) and Collin Woods each turned in 17 points to lead all scorers. Jackson went 5-for-10 from the field and was 3-for-5 from 3-point range, and Woods finished at 5-for-11 shooting.

WESTMINSTER 73, EASTERN OREGON 66: At Caldwell, Idaho, the Griffins handed the Mountaineers their first loss of the season after building a 30-17 first-half lead after a Blake Skidmore jumper.

The Griffins built the lead to 18 points, 47-29, in the second half after a pair of free throws by Tallon Robertson.
