SPRINGVILLE DEF. MOUNTAIN VIEW 25-19, 25-18, 25-15 The Red Devils swept the Bruins in the first round of 4A action. The win means Springville will face Sky View in a quarterfinal at noon. The loss sent Mountain View into consolation play where they face Clearfield at noon.

SKY VIEW DEF. CLEARFIELD 25-19, 25-15, 25-23 The second-ranked Bobcats opened the 4A state tournament with a sweep of the Falcons. The win means Sky View will take on Springville in the quarterfinals at noon. The loss sent Clearfield into consolation play where they face Mountain View at noon.

WOODS CROSS DEF. BOX ELDER 25-22, 19-25, 25-15, 22-25, 15-12 The Wildcats won a first-round thriller against the Bees. The victory means Woods Cross will face Salem Hills in a quarterfinal match at noon. The loss sent the Bees into the consolation bracket.

SALEM HILLS DEF. OLYMPUS 25-17, 20-25, 25-18, 28-26 The Skyhawks upset the Titans in the first round of the 4A state tournament. The win means Salem Hills will play third-ranked Woods Cross in the quarterfinals at noon. The loss sent Olympus to the consolation bracket.

MOUNTAIN CREST DEF. BOUNTIFUL 25-21, 21-25, 14-25, 25-16, 15-11 The Mustangs won a first-round thriller against the fifth-ranked Braves. The win means Mountain Crest will move on to play Skyline in the 1:30 p.m. quarterfinal. The loss sends the Braves into consolation play.

SKYLINE DEF. PROVO 25-19, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21 The fourth-ranked Eagles defeated the Bulldogs in the first round of the 4A state tournament. The win sent Skyline into the quarterfinals where they face Mountain Crest at 1:30, while the loss means the Bulldogs will take on Bountiful in consolation play.

TIMPVIEW DEF. TIMPANOGOS 25-18, 25-12, 25-13 The top-ranked T-birds swept the T-wolves in the first round of the 4A tournament. The win means Timpview will play Judge at 1:30 in the quarterfinals, while Timpanogos will take on Bonneville in consolation play at 1:30 p.m.

JUDGE MEMORIAL DEF. BONNEVILLE 29-27, 25-19, 25-18 The Bulldogs earned a first-round win against the Lakers to earn a spot in the 1:30 quarterfinal against top-ranked Timpview.

SKY VIEW DEF. SPRINGVILLE 25-20, 25-19, 25-14 The second-ranked Bobcats continued their quest to defend the 4A volleyball title with a sweep of Springville. The win means Sky View will face third-ranked Woods Cross in Saturday's 10:30 a.m. semifinal. The loss sends Springville into the consolation bracket.

WOODS CROSS DEF. SALEM HILLS 26-24, 25-19, 22-25, 25-14 The third-ranked Wildcats advanced to the 4A semifinals where they will play Sky View Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The loss sends Salem Hills into consolation play.

MOUNTAIN VIEW DEF. CLEARFIELD 25-11, 25-22, 25-19 The Bruins advanced in consolation play with a win over the Falcons. The loss eliminated the Falcons from the tournament.

OLYMPUS DEF. BOX ELDER 24-26, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 15-8 The Titans earned a tough win over the Bees in consolation play. The win allows the Titans to advance, while the loss eliminates the Bees.

MOUNTAIN CREST DEF. SKYLINE 13-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-12 The Mustangs earned a spot in Saturday's semifinal with a come-from-behind victory against fourth-ranked Skyline. The Mustangs were led by Malana Barnes who earned 13 kills and Marissa Perrett added seven kills and led the team defensively with five blocks. Setter Madison Snow earned 27 assists in the win that allows Mountain Crest to face top-ranked Timpview in Saturday's semifinals. The loss sends Skyline into consolation play.

TIMPVIEW DEF. JUDGE MEMORIAL 25-14, 25-15, 25-15 The top-ranked T-birds swept the Bulldogs to advance to Saturday's semifinal match. They will take on Mountain Crest in the 12:30 p.m. semifinal. The loss sends the Bulldogs into consolation play.

BOUNTIFUL DEF. PROVO 25-17, 22-25, 25-18, 25-21 The fifth-ranked Braves stayed alive in consolation play with a win over the Bulldogs. The loss eliminates Provo from the 4A tournament.
