Todd Michael Stephens1977 ~ 2013Our beloved father, son, grandson, brother and friend, Todd Michael Stephens, 35, from Tooele, died suddenly on May 1 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Todd was born to goodly parents, James and Shauna Stephens, in Salt Lake City on June 9, 1977 and is brother to Travis, Trisha and Tiffani. He graduated from Tooele High School in 1995 where he was involved in student government and various athletics. He then attended Southern Utah University and The University of Utah and received his Bachelors Degree in Aviation Administration from Utah Valley University. Todd is the proud father of Kohl Braden (14). The two of them enjoyed life and loved experiencing the outdoors together. Todd was an accomplished rock climber. He and his friends put over 100 different climbing routes throughout Utah and were the first ascensionists on numerous rock formations. Todd found great enjoyment and pleasure while climbing and was happiest when he was outdoors. He also loved wakeboarding, canoeing, hiking and four wheeling. He was an incredibly gifted mechanic and spent hours in the shop working with his dad on various projects. A child at heart, Todd was beloved by his nieces and nephews. He thrived on physical challenges and amazed us all with his bravery and talents in high pressure situations. He was employed by Salt Lake City International Airport and was loved and respected by his coworkers. He is survived by his son, Kohl, parents, Jim and Shauna, brother, Travis (Amy,) sisters Trisha (Jeff) Wyatt and Tiffani (Derek) Frandsen, grandfather, Joseph Stephens and 13 nieces and nephews. Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Keith and Oletha Cook, grandmother LaRae Stephens and uncle's Steven and Stan Cook. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. at Tate Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 6 at the LDS Tooele Chapel, 777 Skyline Drive in Tooele with a visitation from 10:00 11:00 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow at Tooele City Cemetery.
