Jerry Sloan watched the Jazz from long distance (in a sports bar) for the first time in his head coaching career after being suspended for a game and fined $2,000 for shoving an official. Sloan was hit with a technical and tossed from a game against the Blazers in the fourth quarter, after exchanging words with Delaney and then pushing the official. Delaney had made a call in favor of the Blazers, but was overruled. After Sloan complained to Delaney, the offical walked within inches of Sloan, after which Sloan pushed him.
