Women's college basketball: Weber St. women finish season 0-29

CHENEY, Wash. — The Weber State women's basketball team lost its last game of the season at Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon, 70-53. The loss dropped the Wildcats to 0-20 in the Big Sky and 0-29 on the season.

Des Ramos finished the game with a career-high 22 points and freshman forward Kalie Matthews ended one bucket short of a double-double. Matthews pulled down 12 rebounds and added eight points.

The game's leading scorer was Eastern Washington's Carrie Ojeda who poured in 27 points on the afternoon. Ojeda also had 12 rebounds for the double-double.

Ramos went 9-of-19 from the field including 2-of-3 from three-point range.

TEXAS-SAN ANTONIO 80, UTAH STATE 72: At San Antonio, despite 20-point scoring nights from both senior guard Jenna Johnson and junior guard Jennifer Schlott, the Utah State women's basketball team dropped the regular-season finale to UTSA.

The Aggies loss, combined with a Seattle win over Idaho, secures Utah State the second seed in the upcoming Western Athletic Conference Tournament in Las Vegas, beginning on Tuesday.

SOUTHERN UTAH 95, NORTH DAKOTA 94 (OT): At Cedar City, the Thunderbirds (15-15, 9-11) overcame a 36-point career-best effort from UND's Megan Lauck to sneak by North Dakota on Saturday. Southern Utah will face Northern Colorado on Wednesday at 3 p.m. (MT) in the Big Sky Tournament in Missoula, Mont.
