I may be a little slow, but isn't this sequestration all smoke and mirrors? Are not both the Democrats and the Republicans lying to us? We are presented with all of these scenarios where disaster is about to strike, that the country is in great danger, that thousands will lose their jobs, businesses will fail and funding for Hill Air Force Base will be severely cut.
The real truth is that these cuts in spending are really cuts in the proposed increases for next year. There are no cuts at all. The government plan is to spend more money this year than last year. They want to spend $1 trillion more than they take in, in taxes. Isn't it time our politicians told us the truth?

Actually the projection is 900 billion..you say what's the difference. The difference is Bushs last budget was 1.4 trillion, 2010 was 1.3 trillion. So 900 billion is a reduction in deficit spending of 500 billion dollars in 4 years...not quite More..
Thank you Joe for insightful analysis of my commment...really? And, just where did I claim that it was Bushs fault? Bush reacted to two unfunded wars and a crashing economy with a 1.4 trillion dollar budget. Next Obama reacted with a 1.3 trillion More..
pragmatistferlife: Yes, we all know that the extra $6 trillion or so added to the debt in the last four years was all Bush's fault. We have heard that so many times from the liberal press that all the gullible people believe it now. Just look at More..
