DIXIE 33, DESERT HILLS 32: Dixie sophomore Kelsey McCann drained a 3-pointer with 3.7 seconds remaining as Dixie stunned Desert Hills for its first girls basketball state championship in school history. Desert Hills beat Dixie twice during the regular season, but the Flyers played great defense and forced the Thunder into 15 turnovers while committing just five of their own. McCann finished with nine points and added four rebounds, while Caroline Lantor added six points and five rebounds.
CEDAR 45, SNOW CANYON 38: Cedar outscored Snow Canyon 29-16 in the second half to pull away for the victory in the third-place game at the Dee Events Center. Jessica Nakken led Cedar with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Taylor Davis chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds.
DELTA 51, BEAR RIVER 38: Delta pulled away from Bear River with a strong fourth quarter for the victory in the 3A fifth-place game at the Dee Events Center. TaNeil Clayton scored 14 points and Alyssa Johnson added 10 as the Rabbits shot 40 percent from the field and won despite being outrebounded 36-29.
SPRINGVILLE 54, TIMPVIEW 40: The Red Devils finished the season 25-0 with an undefeated record. Utah commit Malia Nawahine led the team with 18 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two assists. Savannah Park added 12 points and four steals, while Brooke Wheeler earned a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. The T-Birds were led by Lauryn Dela Cruz, who scored 14 points and Lyndie Haddock, who added 14 points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists.
