Results from more than 80 Friday high school basketball games statewide

MURRAY 61, HILLCREST 39: Dylan Ross sank four 3-pointers, and finished with a game-high 18 points to lead Murray past Hillcrest in region play.

WESTLAKE 42, SKYLINE 27: Zavon Jackson led Westlake with 16 points in its double-digit road win over Skyline. The Thunder got off to an early lead an never looked back.

OLYMPUS 49, HERRIMAN 45: Alec Johnson of Herriman nailed a 3-pointer from half court at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime. With four seconds remaining in the extra period, Jaren Jones of Olympus hit two free throws to ice the game.


PROVO 38, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 36: Cole Gordon and Cy Wright scored 14 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the Bulldogs to the narrow victory.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 65, TIMPANOGOS 52: Mountain View had a big second half to give it the road victory. Four players reached double digits led by Ryan Warner who scored 13 points and hit one 3-pointer. The Timberwolves' Trevor Schade scored a game-high 20 points and hit four treys in the loss.

SPRINGVILLE 76, SALEM HILLS 51: Spencer Frixione scored 11 points, and dished out 12 assists to record a double-double in the Springville win. Bradley Kitchen and Max Schreiner each scored 14 points in the region victory.

OREM 48, TIMPVIEW 42: With first place on the line in Region 8, Orem built up a double-digit lead in the second quarter and then withstood a late rally by Timpview to improve to 17-3 on the season. Timpview missed a 3-pointer that could've tied it with 38 seconds remaining, and Orem iced it from the free-throw line the rest of the way. Zach Hunsaker was one of three Orem players who scored in double figures, as he finished with 16 points.


PINE VIEW 75, CANYON VIEW 64: Pine View's Jack Bangerter was nearly unstoppable, as he dropped 26 points and had seven makes from behind the arc to lead his team to victory.

DESERT HILLS 58, SNOW CANYON 52: Desert Hills outscored Snow Canyon by six, which proved to be the difference in its narrow road victory. Ty Rutledge led the way for the Thunder by scoring 15 points, and hitting three 3-pointers.

CEDAR 59, HURRICANE 46: Cedar's Dustin Staggs led with 16 points, as the visiting team got the job done on the road. Mike Hourigan added 14 with one 3-pointer in the region victory.


JUDGE MEMORIAL 55, PARK CITY 43: The Bulldogs established a double digit lead at the halftime, and managed to hold onto the Region 10 victory. Ryan Pauley and Terrell Young combined to score 28 points for Judge.

WASATCH 45, UNION 41: Wasatch held off Union to get the road victory after a solid first half. A solid scoring attack for the Wasps was led by Nate Dow, who scored 10 points.



OGDEN 62, GRANTSVILLE 33: After a close first half, Ogden finished strong to put away visiting Grantsville. Spencer Smith scored 23 points to lead the Tigers, while teammate Larry Rodriguez added 15 more.

BEAR RIVER 73, TOOELE 58: Bear River picked up the road win in region play, as Wade Miller went off for 29 points including three treys. Tooele's Justin Pollmann was equally impressive, scoring a game-high 35 points, including one 3-pointer in the loss.

BEN LOMOND 54, STANSBURY 51: After being down by nine points at halftime, Ben Lomond came storming back in the second half to steal the region win from Stansbury. Sterling Brandley and Josh Hardin tallied 14 points apiece in the Scots' region win.
