MANTI 48, MERIT ACADEMY 47: Jamen Miller led Manti with 11 points in the narrow win over Merit Academy. In the loss, Joel Martinez led all scorers with 17 points.

REGION 17

ST. JOSEPH 85, MOUNT VERNON 37: Sebastian Pomeroy and Nick Gruet led the Jayhawks with 11 points each in the win over Mount Vernon.

WEST RIDGE ACADEMY 68, OAKLEY 41: Ethan Cope led the West Ridge charge with 22 points, as the visiting team finished the game strong to secure the region victory.

LAYTON CHRISTIAN 80, LEGACY PREP 38: The Eagles remained unbeaten in Region 17 action.

REGION 18

TINTIC 71, WENDOVER 57: McKade Holman and Taylor Hurst combined for 48 Tintic points, as the home improved to 2-0 in Region 18.

NONREGION

MONTICELLO 60, GRAND 49: Jake Duncan led three Buckaroos in double figures with 15 points as Monticello broke open a close game in the second half.

REGION 17

ST. JOSEPH 31, INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN 25: Mady White led all scorers with 15 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead St. Joseph to the region victory on the road.

REGION 19

GREEN RIVER 60, PINNACLE 38: The Pirates improved to 5-1 in region action.

REGION 20

PANGUITCH 58, BRYCE VALLEY 49: Darri Frandsen led four Panguitch players in double figures with 18 points, as the visiting team went 24-for-34 from the free-throw line in the region victory. Whitni Syrett led Bryce Valley with 19 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

PIUTE 63, VALLEY 55: Kierra Gleave and Shaylee Gleave scored 18 points and 16 points respectively, as Piute closed the game on a 23-14 run to earn the 8-2 record in region play.

MILFORD 61, ESCALANTE 42: Chandler Rose and Kennedy Netto combined for 34 points as the Tigers opened both halves on runs of 12-4 and 17-9, respectively.
