Utah State junior Preston Medlin had 14 points and junior Jarred Shaw had 11 as USU lost to New Mexico State 64-51.
Utah State shot a dismal 22 of 56 from the field. Utah State started slow, scoring just 18 points in the first half. After losing the lead with 12 minutes to go in the first half, Utah State never led, being down by as much as 20.
Four New Mexico State players were in double figures, including Senior Bandja Sy who had 16 points and seven rebounds.
