SPRINGVILLE 53, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 42: Springville outscored Maple Mountain 17-4 in the fourth quarter to seal the victory on the road. Max Schriener led the way for the Red Devils with 19 points while Bradley Kitchen added 17 more.

TIMPVIEW 64, MOUNTAIN VIEW 44: Timpview's Riley Corbin and Leo Roese combined for 24 points as undefeated Timpview easily opened region play with a victory over Mountain View.

OREM 64, PROVO 51: Orem methodically pulled away from Provo for the region opening victory. Despite the loss, Provo got a boost by the return of Wesley Bosco to the line-up as he scored eight points in his first game back in a month.

SALEM HILLS 74, TIMPANOGOS 64: Salem Hills outscored Timpanogos by nine in the final quarter to earn the double-digit victory. Alejandro Llamas had a great game for the SkyHawks as he scored 25 points and dished out 15 assists.


SNOW CANYON 59, PINE VIEW 55: Snow Canyon eked out the victory over Pine View in a hard-fought Region 9 match-up. Chandler Gines led the Warriors with 17 points while Nate Gottfredson added 14 more.

CEDAR 68, DIXIE 46: Lifted by its dominant second-half performance and balanced scoring attack, Cedar was able to hold off Dixie to earn the road victory. Cedar's Dustin Staggs, one of four Redmen to score in double-digits, finished with a team-high 17 points.

DESERT HILLS 50, HURRICANE 35: Desert Hills made 14 more free throws than Hurricane which proved to be the difference as the Thunder captured the road victory. Jordan Hokanson led the way with 13 points and made two shots from behind the arc.


JUDGE MEMORIAL 51, UINTAH 49: Uintah outscored Judge by seven in the final period but it was too little, too late as Judge earned the region-opening victory. Patrick Neville led the Bulldogs with 27 points including two 3-pointers while Joe Cremer added 11 points off three treys.

PARK CITY 47, WASATCH 46: Bosten VanDerVeur hit a 30-footer at the buzzer to give Park City a victory over Wasatch. VanDerVeur scored 15 points including two treys while Jesse Smith and Hayden Daily each added 13 points to the Miners' cause.

UNION 56, JUAN DIEGO 51: The Cougars had a strong fourth quarter as Stephen Merrell and Jona Wood finished with 14 points apiece to lift the Cougars to the upset victory over Juan Diego.


BEAR RIVER 58, GRANTSVILLE 52: Bear River's balanced scoring attack overpowered Grantsville in overtime as the Bears captured the road victory. Nick Hillis led the Bears with 13 points while the Cowboys were led by Devin Adams who scored 19 points in the loss.

MORGAN 112, TOOELE 68: Jake Miles scored 39 points to lead Morgan to the blowout victory.

OGDEN 56, STANSBURY 55: Spencer Smith sank three treys en route to an impressive 26-point performance to help Ogden get the tough road win over Stansbury. Larry Rodriguez and Dayton Wright each added 11 points to Ogden's cause.


SOUTH SEVIER 73, EMERY 60: Race Parsons scored 26 points, including three 3-pointers, for the Rams in the victory over Emery. In the loss, McKlane Allred and Dawson Jensen scored 12 points each.
