Letters: Discuss D.C.'s fiscal issues

Summary

What's happening in Washington right now is insane. I have zero confidence in our current administration to move even one inch closer to a true solution on our "fiscal cliff" debt crisis.

They might be completely clueless. Cutting up to $90 billion per year is a tiny fraction of what needs to happen. If we were to cut $1.1 trillion per year, we would still just be breaking even without reducing the debt. The Federal Government alone is going further into debt by more than $3 billion per day. How is that sustainable?

No one wants to talk about this because it sounds too scary, but we absolutely must.

Then talk about it. How are we going to do it? No taxes? No military spending cuts? Where are you at on this James? Some serious changes have to come, and not just on one side of the equation.

Just ask the GOP going back to Reagan. How and why DID they get us into this?

And it will be very interesting to see James change his tune when cuts come to bite him or his family as they surely will.

Mike, if you would do some real fact checking, you would learn that most of what you've posted here about Mitt and Obama is simply false. Look beyond the GOP and hate radio smoke screens.
