2012 Christmas Wish List for some deserving folks

Lone Peak boys basketball: A No. 1 national ranking — not only now, but, more importantly, at the end of the 2012-13 season.

Real Salt Lake: Goals. And we're not talking aspirations here, we're talking the kind where the ball goes into the back of the net. You know, the kind they couldn't seem to score any of in their last five games this year.

Utah High School Activities Association: Transfer rules which high school athletes will strictly obey and abide by. We don't need another messy situation like the one which struck the East High and Timpview football programs, and the Snow Canyon baseball team, this past year.

Utah Valley University: A football program. Maybe then, the Wolverines will find a more stable place to play than in the teetering Western Athletic Conference, the shakiest league in the West that they'll be joining next year.

Our readers: A happy, healthy holiday season and abundant joy in the New Year.
