For Toledo ... The Rockets are one victory away from their first 10-win season since 2001. They enter the bowl game with two losses in their last three outings. Before that, Toledo reeled off eight straight victories.

For Utah State ... The No. 18 Aggies are seeking a school record 11th win of the year. A triumph over Toledo would also assure USU of its first end-of-the-season Associated Press ranking since finishing 10th in 1961.

For Toledo ... Senior linebacker Dan Molls is the nation's leading tackler with 166 stops. ... Junior running back David Fluellen ranks eighth in the country with 132.7 yards rushing per game. ... The Rockets defeated Air Force 42-41 in last year's Military Bowl in Washington, D.C.

For Utah State ... The Aggies are appearing in back-to-back bowl games for just the third time in school history. The others came in 1946-47 and 1960-61. ... USU is 1-6 in bowl games. The program's lone victory was a 42-33 decision over Ball State in the 1993 Las Vegas Bowl.

Chuckie Keeton, Utah State: The sophomore quarterback has had a stellar season with 3,144 yards passing with 27 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. He completed 67.6 percent of his passes this year.

Kerwynn Williams vs. Toledo's defense: USU's leading rusher (1,277 yards) and top receiver (663 yards), who has scored 17 touchdowns, goes up against a Rockets squad that has given up 464.1 yards per game this season.
