#DNHuddleUp: Deseret News sports staff, readers share their thoughts on where Jabari Parker will play
High school hoops superstar Jabari Parker is taking the next week to consider which university he will attend, so in our latest #DNHuddleUp feature, we asked the Deseret News sports staffers to give us their opinions.
Parker, an active Mormon, has narrowed his list to Duke, Michigan State, Florida, Stanford, and BYU. Each has positives and negatives to offer the Chicago native.
The Cougars made their pitch last month, when thousands of fans wore T-shirts bearing the phrase "Chicago to Provo" during Parker's official recruiting visit.
But is BYU's faith-based atmosphere enough to draw the young phenom, or will he sign with a college basketball powerhouse? Check out the responses from our sportswriters — and our readers — below.
Every Wednesday, DeseretNews.com sports will ask a sports question through its twitter handle, @desnewssports, and the Deseret News sports staff will sound off by including the Twitter hashtag #DNHuddleUp.
If you would like to participate, tweet your own responses. Please include the Twitter hashtag #DNHuddleUp to be a part of the huddle.

At BYU Parker would have absolutely no chance of any semblance of a normal college experience.
Fellow BYU students and media would make his life miserable.
Schools like Duke are used to high profile basketball stars. I More..
I heard he was a little freaked out when there were full grown men wearing t-shirts made for him during his visit to BYU. Howard isn't just right, he is spot on. Parker would be mauled even more than the Jimmer because he would be a More..
Sorry, information overload. Enough is enough and in this case, too much. Good wishes to this fine young man, but we are losing interest. Michigan State, BYU or wherever will survive his decision.
