The 2012 football season saw seven state records established and another six tied. In addition, four championship game records were set and two more tied. And nine players tied four of the records for the longest plays.

State records set:

Season Passing Attempts – 562 – Luke Falk, Logan. (previous record: 490 by Alex Hart, Jordan 2009)

Season Receptions – 107 – Taylor Compton, Logan. (previous record: 100 by C.J. O'Neal, West Jordan 2009)

Most 99-Yard Kickoff Returned For Touchdowns – Season – 3 – Emilio Salvador, Taylorsville (previous record: 2 by two others)
