SALT LAKE CITY — Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei and kick returner Reggie Dunn are first-team honorees on the 2012 Pac-12 All-Conference squad. League coaches also named offensive lineman Sam Brenner to the second team.
The seniors headline a group that includes 10 Utes receiving honorable mention recognition — junior safety Brian Blechen, sophomore defensive end Nate Fakahafua, junior defensive end Joe Kruger, sophomore tight end Jake Murphy, freshman offensive lineman Jeremiah Poutasi, junior linebacker Trevor Reilly, sophomore safety Eric Rowe, senior punter Sean Sellwood and senior center Tevita Stevens.
Lotulelei is one of just two players in the Pac-12 to make the first team for the second consecutive year. Lotulelei led the conference and ranks second in the nation with four fumble recoveries. He topped the Utes with 11 tackles for loss and five sacks and finished the season with 42 tackles, four pass breakups and three forced fumbles.
Dunn, who had four 100-yard kickoff returns this season and five over his career, set five NCAA records in 2012. He averaged 51.3 yards per kickoff return.
Brenner entered the Colorado game with just one sack allowed in 743 plays. He was also credited with 13 knockdowns, seven cuts and a pair of pancake blocks.

Utah not only finishes 2012 with a losing record, the Utes are also losing their best defensive, offensive, and special teams players for next season: Star Lotulelei, Reggie Dunn, John White IV, Sean Sellwood, Moe Lee, DeVonte Christopher, Reggie More..
My first memories of Ute football were of Erroll Tucker, my favorite Ute of all time. IMO Reggie Dunn is as electrifying as Tucker.
It is really sad to see the season end so abruptly for these guys. Seems werid that there will be no U of U football in December. No bowl game, no practices to write about, no nuthin!! Hopefully, that can be corrected quickly, as early as next More..
