Utah Utes football notebook: Senior QB Jon Hays set to complete 'crazy' career at Utah

"It definitely felt good to be back out there and to be playing," Christopher said, while noting his displeasure that the Utes didn't win the game. "But to just get the chance to go out and play (in the) last home game — Senior Night — was definitely a good experience."

QUIET CONTRIBUTOR: Utah coach Kyle Whittingham acknowledged the contributions of snapper Patrick Greene over the past four seasons.

"Those guys go unnoticed until they screw up," Whittingham said. "If they're unnoticed that's a good thing because that means they're doing their job exactly as it needs to be done. Patrick has been a very solid, steady performer for us."

EXTRA POINTS: Junior running back Kelvin York, who has missed the past three games with a high ankle sprain, returned to practice this week. ... Freshman running back Jarrell Oliver had foot surgery Monday. ... Linebacker/defensive end Trevor Reilly leads safety Eric Rowe, 64-59, for the team lead in tackles.
