These high school football state tournament pairings have been updated to reflect the UHSAA's decision to make East and Timpview forfeit games.

Class 5A

First Round

Note: Layton hosts Davis in a play-in game on Tuesday to determine the Region 1 No. 3 seed. Brighton, Cottonwood and West Jordan finished in a three-way tie for third in Region 3. A three-way play-in game will be held Monday at Hillcrest. Brighton-Cottonwood will play the first half, with the winner qualifying. The loser then faces West Jordan in the second half. The No. 3 and 4 seeds will be determined by head-to-head result between Monday's two winning teams.

Timpview was forced to forfeit its region win over Mountain View, and the extra win moved the Bruins into the Region 8 No. 5 seed and eliminated Springville and Salem Hills.
