The hour-long debate between Republican incumbent Orrin Hatch and Democratic challenger Scott Howell is hosted by Prof. David B. Magleby of the Brigham Young University Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy.

The debate will be televised this evening, and stations simulcasting the debate at 9 p.m. Wednesday include KBYU-Channel 11, KUED-Channel 7, KUEN-Channel 9 and KXDS 91.3 FM-St. George.

This race isn't going to be a cliff hanger, and no, Mr. Howell isn't smoking Sen. Hatch. Anyone who thinks otherwise is only kidding themselves.
