Our take: According to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter, Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, will be filling in for Robin Roberts on Good Morning America on Oct. 10.
"The booking comes on the heels of Mitt Romney's dominant performance in the first presidential debate on Wednesday." The Hollywood Reporter story said. "Romney will co-host the morning program alongside Robert's co-anchor George Stephanopoulos and correspondents Lara Spencer, Josh Elliott and Sam Champion on Oct. 10.
"She joins previously announced pinch-hitters Stephen Colbert, Oprah Winfrey, the cast of Modern Family and Roberts' ABC News colleagues Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric and Barbara Walters. Jessica Simpson co-hosted GMA on Sept. 11.
"ABC News also is in discussions with First Lady Michelle Obama to co-host the program. And given President Obama's widely panned performance at the debate, expect the very popular first lady to continue to be deployed in the run-up to the election."
