LAS VEGAS (AP) — President Barack Obama has left Nevada after several days preparing for a debate with Republican contender Mitt Romney.
Obama's plane left McCarran International Airport about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday. The debate is set for Wednesday evening in Colorado.
Obama arrived in Las Vegas on Sunday to deliver a speech to more than 11,000 people at Desert Pines High School. The event opened with a show by Mexican rock band Maná.
He hid away in the Lake Las Vegas community to practice for the debate for most of the past three days, but emerged Monday to deliver pizzas to campaign workers in Henderson.
On Tuesday, he took his first trip ever to the Hoover Dam. He called that "spectacular."
