MORAGA, Calif. — Jennifer Hamson's 16 kills weren't enough to pull off a win for the No. 11 Cougars, who drop to 15-1 after a 3-1 (25-15, 25-11, 19-25, 26-24) loss to Saint Mary's Saturday.
Hamson hit .419 against the Gaels (8-7, 3-1 WCC) and had four blocks. Freshman outside hitter Alexa Gray had 12 kills and three blocks, helped out by Heather Hannemann's 43 assists. Tia Withers had 10 digs to lead the team. Warner led in blocks with eight.
UTAH STATE VOLLEYBALL: At Arlington, Texas, a season-high 17 kills from Josselyn White and 11 kills from Shay Sorensen led the way in the Aggies' 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 27-25) sweep of UT Arlington.
WEBER STATE VOLLEYBALL: At Bozeman, Mont., Rebecca Fuchs had a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs, but it wasn't quite enough to lift the Wildcats in a 25-23, 25-11, 25-19 loss to Montana State.
SUU VOLLEYBALL: At Portland, Ore., the Thunderbirds (7-10, 3-3 Big Sky) jumped on Portland State early, capturing the first set 25-18, but were unable to maintain its momentum and eventually suffered a four-set loss.

Colby Bauer took the Cougars up to a 4-0 lead when he plowed past three defenders and scored in the 63rd minute.
Jonathan Luce scored for the Wolverines in the waning minutes of the game.
WESTMINSTER MEN'S SOCCER: At Salina, Kan., the Griffins (6-4-1) fell to No. 18 Kansas Wesleyan (5-2-2) by a score of 3-2.
BYU CROSS COUNTRY: At Springfield, Ore., led by junior co-captain Jared Ward, the No. 3-ranked BYU men's cross country team executed down the stretch to win the Bill Dellinger Invitational.
