1. East (2-0)
Was: 1. Last week: Game suspended. Outlook: Showdown with Jordan was cut short, but the bottom line is East was leading 28-27 at the time and can compete with anyone in Utah. Next up: vs. Fremont, Friday.
2. Alta (3-0)
Was: 2. Last week: Beat Olympus, 38-15. Outlook: No letdown after the Bingham victory as the Hawks built a 31-0 halftime lead on Oly last week before putting it in cruise control. Next up: vs. Riverton, Friday.
3. Jordan (2-0)
Was: 3. Last week: Game suspended. Outlook: Can't dwell on what might've been against East with region-opening showdown with Alta looming in two weeks. Next up: at Kearns, Friday.
4. Syracuse (3-0)
Was: 4. Last week: Beat Riverton, 23-0. Outlook: Coming off back-to-back shutouts, the Titans turn their attention to a Box Elder team that hasn't allowed a point this season. Next up: at Box Elder, Friday.
5. Bingham (2-1)
Was: 5. Last week: Beat Valor Christian, Colo., 21-20. Outlook: Avoided a two-game losing streak in dramatic fashion as it denied Valor Christian, Colo., a 2-point conversion attempt in OT. Next up: vs. Layton, Friday.
6. Northridge (3-0)
Was: 7. Last week: Beat Kearns, 41-14. Outlook: The Knights have scored 41, 33 and 41 points in three games, and there's little doubt who the Region 1 favorite is now. Next up: vs. Westlake, Friday.
7. Brighton (3-0)
Was: 9. Last week: Beat Sky View, 30-21. Outlook: Not much was expected externally from Brighton this year, but a dominant offensive line has the Bengals off to a 3-0 start. Next up: at American Fork, Friday.
8. Hurricane (3-0)
Was: 8. Last week: Beat Legacy, Nev., 43-34. Outlook: Through three games, fullback Jared Edwards already has 10 rushing touchdowns, including five last week. Next up: at Cedar, Friday.
9. Timpview (2-1)
Was: 10. Last week: Beat Lone Peak, 36-33. Outlook: Must've learned from narrow loss to Alta; because it finished the fourth quarter strong in win over Lone Peak. Next up: vs. Mountain View, Friday.
10. Woods Cross (3-0)
Was: 11. Last week: Beat Mountain Crest, 26-23. Outlook: There is little doubt the Wildcats are one of 4A's elite after impressive victory over Mountain Crest. Next up: vs. Sky View, Friday.
11. Logan (2-1)
Was: 15. Last week: Beat Bountiful, 35-14. Outlook: Following convincing wins over Cottonwood and Bountiful the last two weeks, blowout loss to Northridge was an aberration. Next up: vs. Spanish Fork, Friday.
12. Bountiful (2-1)
Was: 6. Last week: Lost to Logan, 35-14. Outlook: Ran into a defensive buzz saw last week against Logan, but has a couple easy games to re-group before Region 6 opener. Next up: at Viewmont, Friday.
13. Lone Peak (1-2)
Was: 12. Last week: Lost to Timpview, 36-33. Outlook: The offense is doing its part, but Lone Peak's defense has been much too inconsistent this season. Next up: vs. Highland, Thursday.
14. Mountain Crest (1-2)
Was: 13. Last week: Lost to Woods Cross, 26-23. Outlook: Frustrating loss to Lone Peak in Week 2 carried over to last week as Mustangs came out very slow in loss to Woods Cross. Next up: at Weber, Friday.

@ucepower1
Well... if the radio guy ( local I'm sure ) said it, then it MUST be true. If Pineview can win out and win on the Turf... then Yep, they are the best. But, 3 games in and a TOUGH region to fight through, I think you might be a More..
@Parry is a Farce - Northridge and Syracuse are both good teams and you are probably right...won't be decided until both teams play each other.
In regards to the Jordan/East game...it went down as never happened. The only issue at More..
@fender
Hurricane has won (correct me if i'm wrong) 16 straight games. and haven't lost a home game since 2007 which includes 4A and 5A teams. obviously they aren't the best in state, but you can't ignore 16 in a row. More..
